About Us

Frangipani Bread is Artisan Sourdough Bread made in Los Angeles, California. It was born out of my kitchen and it's delicious, organic, heathy and wholegrain. Our sourdough is preservative free and does not contain any commercial yeast or chemicals. Because of this old world process, it takes a little more time to prepare, like all good things do. It takes at least 16 hours for our dough to ferment, so when you place an order you are actually placing a preorder and it takes 3-4 days for the final bread to be made and shipped. We want to send you the very freshest made loaves to enjoy and savor. 

We recommend that our breads be stored in a brown paper bag on your kitchen counter ( a recycled one is even better) or in a bread box cut side down. Please don't keep it in the in the fridge or in a zip lock bag,(makes the crackly crust soft and the bread rubbery).  I like keep to keep my loaf cut-side down on a cutting board or in a paper bag clipped at the top. If you know you won't be eating the entire loaf within a couple of days, (and let me tell you, that will be a challenge), just slice it up and freeze the individual slices in a zip lock bag right away when you receive your loaf. Then you can take out a slice or 2 at a time to defrost for 20-30 minutes on the counter and it tastes like it was just baked. Please please do not microwave it.
